David Barlow in This is My Office.
On April 25 the Drama Desk committee announced the nominees for the 2014 annual awards. Among the nominees are David Barlow for Outstanding Solo Performance for PlayCo’s production of This is My Office, and Katie Down for Outstanding Sound Design in a Play for PlayCo’s production of The Golden Dragon. The committee also announced that Ed Sylvanus Iskandar is this year’s recipient of the Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award for his “visionary directorial excellence”. According to the Drama Desk committee, “This season’s The Golden Dragon and The Mysteries exemplify his bold and strikingly original imagination.” We’re so proud to have collaborated with these extraordinary artists this past season and to have their wonderful work with us recognized.
Other members of the PlayCo family honored with nominations include, Bobby Moreno, Lauren Shaw, and Lauren Worsham. Please join us in congratulating this talented group of artists. The Drama Desk Awards will be presented on June 1 at Town Hall in New York City.
