The Lark Play Development Center kicks off it’s 2014 Mexico/U.S. Playwright Exchange tonight with a Salon in co-ordination with Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA). The event will feature readings, conversation and a reception at Galeria Octavio Paz at the Consulate General of Mexico. The year’s plays and playwrights include: Mara or the Night Without Dreams by Antonio Zuniga Chaparro (translated by Tatiana Suarez-Pico); Extinction of the Dinosaurs by Luis Ayhllon (translated by Jorge Ignacio Cortinas); 22 Dreams….Far from the Sea by Aida Andrade Varas (translated by Virginia Grise) and Acts of God by Flavio Gonzalez Mello (translated by Carmen Rivera). Full readings of the plays will be presented at the Lark Play Development Center on December 13 and 14.
