Summer Script Soirées 2026
Meet the Participants

Jeremy Tiang (he/they) is a playwright, novelist, and translator. Jeremy Tiang's plays include Salesman之死 (Yangtze Rep/ Gung Ho Projects; Obie Award 2025 for Outstanding New Play), A Dream of Red Pavilions (Pan Asian Rep) and The Last Days of Limehouse (New Earth, London). He is also a translator of plays and fiction, and his novel State of Emergency won the Singapore Literature Prize. Originally from Singapore, he now lives in Flushing, Queens.
This summer, join us for Summer Script Soirées, a series of free writing gatherings that invite playwrights and translators at all levels of experience to convene, converse, and create in community with one another, led by award-winning playwright and novelist Jeremy Tiang.
Attendees will convene, drinks and snacks will be provided, and we will work through short prompts riffing on language and translation. We mostly hear English on U.S. stages, but what would it mean to allow other languages into the room?
The writing generated from these workshops can be integrated into your existing projects, or used as springboards for something new! Bring writing implements of your choice (pen, pencil or laptop) and a roving mind.
This year's workshops will take place at the follow time and dates (click the RSVP Buttons below each date to register for that workshop):
