JESSICA-san plays Actress 4 in ENJOY. She recently returns from two weeks of development at the Almeida Theatre London for the American Capitalism Project. This spring international work included an artists’ retreat at Tyrone Guthrie’s estate in Ireland, and teaching at the National Student Drama Festival in Scarborough, England.

A founding member of the TEAM, she serves as coauthor in devising and playing roles such as Margaret Mitchell and Lucy Waters in Architecting; Hamlet in A Thousand Natural Shocks; the Experiment / Richard Nixon in Give Up! Start Over! (In the darkest of times I look to Richard Nixon for hope); Dorothy in Particularly in the Heartland.

New York/Spring 2009, the TEAM’s Architecting played a sold-out run at the Public Theatre’s Under the Radar Festival and PS122. Upcoming international touring continues this fall with support from the National Theatre of Scotland at the Arches (Glasgow) the Barbican (London), and Lisbon.

At the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Miss Almasy was nominated for the Jack Tinker Spirit of the Fringe Award. She joins the acting faculty of Playwrights Horizons Theatre School at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts this fall.
